  • Thursday, May 25 – Leave Columbus

  • Friday, May 26 – Arrive in London

  • Saturday, May 27 – Arrive in Kigali, Kigali city tour, overnight Hotel Umubano

  • Sunday, May 28 - Leave Kigali for Kinigi

  • Monday, May 29 - Gorilla Trek, cultural dancing, overnight – Gorilla’s Nest

  • Tuesday, May 30th – Visit Ruhengeri market for fabric, cultural dancing with the Nkunda Umurimo Association. (Evariste’s kids – orphans that PIC helps support) and presentation by Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International Staff –overnight Gorilla’s Nest in Kinigi

  • Wednesday, May 31 – Bisate School visit in Kinigi, meeting with DFGFI gorilla trackers at Bisate

  • Thursday, June 1 - AM – Travel to Gisenyi – Stop enroute at KIAKA (Artisan coop), PM – Poupeetique (Women’s artisan coop that works with PIC)

  • Friday, June 2 - AM – Unity Community Center (Frederick’s school for street and handicapped children in Gisenyi) - overnight Kivu Sun

  • Saturday, June 3 - Visit Roz Carr and the Imbabazi Orphanage at Roz’s flower farm, Mugongo,- overnight Kivu Sun

  • Sunday, June 4 - Return to Kigali -overnight – Hotel Umubano

  • Monday, June 5 - Kigali Artisan Village or Genocide Memorial-overnight – Hotel Umubano

  • Tuesday, June 6 - Travel to Akagera National Park
  • Wednesday, June 7 Second day in Akagera with game drives

  • Thursday, June 8 Morning game drive in Akagera, drive to Kigali. - overnight Mille Collines Hotel

  • Friday, June 9 Depart Kigali 1:50 pm

  • Saturday, June 10 Arrive Columbus at 6:20 pm
